Spring is here, and music festival season is upon us, giving Mississippians a chance to see good live music at festivals and different venues throughout the state.
Below are some of the bigger music festivals taking place in Mississippi this spring and early summer.
41st Hal & Mal’s St. Paddy’s Parade and Festival
The 41st Hal’s St. Paddy’s Parade & Festival will kick off March 23 in downtown Jackson, and the theme for this year’s event is “Telling the Mississippi Story.”

4th annual Swamp Pop Music Festival
Swamp Pop music festival is back this year with different food vendors, crawfish cook-off and more according to gulf coast.org.

The Township Jazz Festival will be in the Jackson metropolitan area at the Township at Colony Park in Ridgeland for what promises to be a fun night of live Jazz music from great musicians with food, drinks and more. Crawfish Music Festival 2024
The Crawfish Music Festival will offer live musical entertainment and family fun on the grounds of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi during a three-day weekend while serving up spicy boiled crawfish with potatoes and corn as side dishes, according to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum website. JXN City with Southern Soul Fest
The City with Southern Soul festival returns this year to the Mississippi Coliseum featuring performances from legend Bobby Rush along with Arthur Young, West Love and more according to livenation.com. Full performance line-up is on livenation.com.

71st annual Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival 2024
Named for pioneering country music legend, the 71st annual Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival will present a great line up at The MAX in May. The historic Blue Front Café in Bentonia will celebrate its 76th anniversary this weekend with a line up of live blues performers that includes the café’s owner and proprietor, Grammy-nominated bluesman Jimmy “Duck” Holmes.
