The 100th season of the Summer Music Festival at the historic Redlands Bowl came to a close on Saturday, Aug. 26, with a Grand Centennial Celebration.

The last event of the year was declared a “festival within a festival” by Redlands Bowl Performing Arts officials.

They commemorated the centennial season with music created by Marilyn Magness, a University of Redlands alumni and worldwide creative director for Walt Disney Live Entertainment.

The event included a tribute to founder of the Bowl, Grace Mullen, who envisioned the amphitheater on Grant Street as a place where the arts would be available to the masses.
