Mercantile Music Festival is back! – The Baker County Press

The Mercantile Music Festival is back this year in Celebration Park in Glen St. Mary on September 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a mix of country, bluegrass and gospel musicians to perform throughout the day.

There will be open blue grass jam sessions taking place, according to organizer and musician Marshall Combs (above left). He said there will be food vendors on hand and activities for children.

“Lots of fun, fellowship and great music!” he said by text message. “Come on out and enjoy the day and bring your favorite lawn chair with you.”

Proceeds raised during the event will benefit the Isaiah 117 House opening in Macclenny.

Scheduled to perform at 10 a.m. is the worship team from Sanderson Holiness Congregational Church, Whistler’s Bluegrass at 11 a.m., open bluegrass jam at noon, I Am Sent at 2 p.m., Boys from Baker at 3 p.m., Reggie Spires at 4 p.m., John and Rhonda Hines at 5 p.m., Kingdom Horse Band at 6 p.m.

Cowboy Craig Nelson will be back with short stories throughout the day.

The music festival it timed with the fall opening of the Franklin Mercantile nearby Celebration Park and owned by Cathy Mendolera (above right).
