Nearly two dozen talented artists from multiple countries are getting ready to paint the town in Carson City this fall. The inaugural Murals and Music Festival, Sept. 28-30, will bring local, national, and international artists to Carson City to paint murals live throughout the city.

Community activities will include docent led mural tours, artist lectures and talks, children’s art activities, and interactive mural painting with the community.

There will be concerts at the Brewery Arts Center and at other locations near the artists at work. The festival will feature music headliner Ian Moore on Saturday at the Brewery Arts Center.

The Seattle-based, Austin, TX-born guitar player, singer and songwriter makes the proverbial renaissance man look lazy. Coming on the heels of Strange Days, Moore offers a new release of bright, blazing rock-n-roll that combines his legendary guitar prowess with radio-friendly songs that showcase his elastic, soul-inflected vocals.
