Veteran music executive, Dayo Adeneye, aka D1, has said it’s now difficult for artists to make conscious music because of the level of moral decadence in this generation.

Speaking in the latest episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, D1 said conscious music would not be commercially successful in today’s world.

He said, “Right now, the world is not ready to listen to anything conscious. Is it this generation that doesn’t know their gender that you want to preach conscious lyrics to?

“Today, someone with beards would tell you, ‘I’m Linda’. Is it that kind of person you want to preach conscious lyrics to?”

He also said a lot of women of this age are materialistic.

D1 said most ladies nowadays only bring their bodies to the table when it comes to relationships which makes men not to see any value in them beyond sex.
