We are so proud of New Jersey’s music scene. We love our music as much as we love our food. So which artists are our favorites here in the Garden State?

That’s a tough one. There are so many great and beloved artists from our musical pasts, but this study, reported at Business Insider focuses on current artists, so that narrows the field a bit.

And these aren’t necessarily New Jersey artists we’re talking about. As a matter of fact, exactly zero New Jersey artists are in the top 5.

Let’s see if you agree with the top 4 the study revealed. Here are the top 5 artists in New Jersey.

 #4 Bruno Mars

#3 Rihanna

#2 Beyonce

And the #1 most favorite musical artist in New Jersey, according to this report is…

#1 Drake

That is a really impressive list, and we love all those artists, but being a New Jersey guy I feel like I have to stick up for some New Jersey artists who could have, and maybe should have made the list.

So here are our choices for the top 4 of our favorite New Jersey artists…

#4 Charlie Puth

#3 Halsey

#2 Bon Jovi

#1 Bruce Springsteen

Of course, there are so many other names that could have made it on both of those lists, and we pay tribute to all of them.

In the last half-century, it’s hard to imagine any state having a bigger impact on the music world than right here in New Jersey, and that’s something we can all be proud of. Go New Jersey!
