Country’s biggest stars took the stage in West Chester Thursday night for the Voices of America Country Music Fest.”All of our friends were like, ‘Hey, there’s a new music festival coming,’” said Abby Sander. “So, we all bought tickets and said, ‘Let’s go.'”Thousands of music fans are making their way there, and with that comes the challenge of navigating road closures and parking. But a local dad is making the most of it. Like any big event, guests must navigate traffic and parking. Most parking passes are selling for over $50. That gave resident Cody Anderson of West Chester an idea.”I’m renting out my yard for the weekend to about 25 to 30 cars to allow them to go to the festival,” Anderson said.Anderson is renting out parking spaces in his own front yard for $40 per day or $100 for the weekend.”I’ve got about eight people already booked for the weekend, whether it’s one day or a weekend pass,” Anderson said. While he’s happy to help concertgoers, he’s doing it for another reason. “I am trying to raise money to pay off college tuition, as well as support my family,” Anderson said. “We’ve been off work for the last six weeks with a new baby.”He’s providing security 24/7 for the cars and says it’s first come, first served.”Only thing I ask is everyone is gone by 11 or 11:30 p.m.,” Anderson said. “As soon as they can get back from the concert to get home. Drive responsibly and drink responsibly.”The festival takes place Aug. 10-13, 2023, in West Chester, Ohio, at the Voices of America MetroPark.Tailgating, camping or consumption of alcohol of any kind in the festival parking lot is prohibited and will be strictly enforced. For the safety of festival attendees and their vehicles, the festival parking lot will be monitored throughout the event. There are a lot of big names coming to the country festival this weekend.
