Together Through Sound music festival brings various cultures to Riverview Park

(Hip-hop) Son Peruchos (Latino) SENECA (Rock) Blake Shaw Big(ish) Band (Jazz) ENTRE & FRIENDS (R&B) Culmination Concert with a full symphony orchestraFestival founder Ashley Eidbo said that through prioritizing culture, this festival is different from most live music events by also teaching visitors about other customs.”People come here to hear (music they like) and then stick around, hear another genre of music,” Eidbo said.Some dancers at the event said they came specifically to hear certain music performed in their cultures.”I’m from Puerto Rico, so I unfortunately don’t have a lot of venues to dance to Latin music, and that’s how I grew up dancing, salsa dancing, bachata,” one dancer said at the event. “So I take every opportunity I can to come and dance.”

Festival founder Ashley Eidbo said that through prioritizing culture, this festival is different from most live music events by also teaching visitors about other customs.

“People come here to hear (music they like) and then stick around, hear another genre of music,” Eidbo said.

Some dancers at the event said they came specifically to hear certain music performed in their cultures.
