Organizers have postponed the next edition of the Space Coast Music Festival until 2024, citing “much consideration and discussion concerning variables out of our control.”
Since its 2019 resurrection as a free-admission, multi-genre musical gathering across multiple stages in downtown Eau Gallie, the Space Coast Music Festival has been Brevard County’s biggest concert event.
Last year’s festival in November drew a wide-ranging daylong slate of 97 musical acts performing on seven stages. The Supervillains headlined, and attractions along the Highland Avenue corridor in the Eau Gallie Arts District included vendors and food trucks.
Festival announced the postponement in a Thursday morning press release.

“EGAD is our home. We relaunched it in 2019 there. We have every intention of keeping it there,” said festival co-founder Steve Keller, who plays drums and sings in Best Supporting Actor.
The former Foosaner Art Museum hosted one of the seven musical stages during last November’s festival. Two stages were located at Eau Gallie Square, while the others were at Pineapples, Intracoastal Brewing Co., St. Clair Street and the city parking lot at 1390 Highland Ave.
Among the reasons organizers postponed this year’s event: Keller said they were concerned about potential road blockages or construction related to a developer’s plan to replace the shuttered museum with a hotel and public-private parking garage. The proposed project remains in the conceptual stage at Melbourne City Hall.

Keller did not have preliminary details available on a 2024 Space Coast Music Festival.
Festival proceeds benefit the music-centric nonprofit Harbor City Local, which helps provide music lessons and instruments for at-risk Brevard County students.
