RINGOES — The Sourland Mountain region of central New Jersey will host its annual Sourland Mountain festival on Saturday, July 13 from 3 p.m. to  8:30 p.m. The event takes place rain or shine at the picturesque Unionville Vineyard in Ringoes. Unionville’s home vineyard on Rocktown Road, with its iconic red barn, provides the perfect summer backdrop.

Tickets are currently on sale at www.sourlandmountainfest.org/tickets. Guests can also purchase a limited edition 20oz tumbler to keep hydrated while dancing the evening away. Full details are available at www.sourlandmountainfest.org.

The festival is organized by dedicated volunteers to ensure a safe, fun experience for all attendees. East Amwell’s volunteer rescue squad will be stationed on-site for guests’ safety and will raise funds by selling lemonade and baked goods.

Festivities kick off with an opening blessing of the mountain by the Lenape Nation. Then guests can partake in a variety of family-friendly activities like guided hikes led by educators from the Raritan Headwaters Association, a foraging lesson by Wildspawn Mushrooms, henna and face painting, a walk-through photo op with the REMAX balloon, and more. Local cat rescue Tabby’s Place will share information and accept donations, while My Backyard at Nectars sells native plants. Artisan merchants like Freitag Arts, Ed Field Stained Glass, and Rooted Remedies offer unique gifts for purchase.

The Ryland Inn provides an upscale VIP experience spearheaded by Chef Chris Albrecht, with gourmet food and drinks served from a tented patio adjacent to the vineyard’s red barn. Craft brews are poured by Hunterdon County’s Lone Eagle Brewing. Food trucks including AMA Pizza, Thai Cha Chak, and Cas Pierogi will refuel guests between musical performances by Christine Havrilla & Gypsy Fuzz, Tony and the Trees, The Adventures of Matt Black, and headliners the Matt O’Ree Band.

Proceeds from the Sourland Mountain Festival benefit the Sourland Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting the history and ecology of the region. The event is made possible by the generous support of business sponsors who share this environmental mission.
