Lambert shared an inside look at the making of her latest music video.

Miranda Lambert is taking fans behind the scenes of her new “If You Were Mine” music video featuring Leon Bridges in a new clip that offers a rare peek into the magic that happens on set.
In a Twitter post on Monday afternoon (Aug. 7), the country superstar pulled back the curtain to provide an inside look at the creative process behind her and Bridges new music video. The clip features Lambert discussing the meticulous steps involved in bringing the visual representation of the song to life.
Filmed at the American Legion in East Nashville, the BTS clip showcases the pair discussing the video and song during a break from one of the scenes.

“We are pretty much playing ourselves, which is cool,” Lambert explains while situated next to Bridges on a leather couch.
She goes on to explain their role in the music video.
“We are following the storyline of a couple that we are watching throughout the night,” she says.
As never before seen clips from the music video shoot flash across the screen, Bridges opens up about working with Lambert and admits recording a duet with her was a “no-brainer.”

“Definitely a new thing for me, I just had to put my own flavor on the tune,” he shares.
As the BTS video comes to a close, the artists toast the glasses as Lambert says, “Welcome to Nashville, friend! ”
Directed by Reid Long, the clip features Lambert and Bridges taking center stage as performers in an intimate dive bar, which happens to be the American Legion in East Nashville, the same bar where Lambert and Elle King filmed the “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” music video.
Donning a custom ensemble by Denimcratic and accessorized with Established Jewelry, Lambert and Bridges engage in a captivating duet, intertwining their voices as they narrate the story of a mesmerizing couple. Taking cues from Pablo Ferro’s iconic style in the 1960s film Thomas Crown Affair, the music video cleverly employs split-screen visuals to provide different angles and viewpoints of Lambert, Bridges, and the bar’s patrons.
Throughout the video, viewers witness a dynamic display of emotions among the bar’s patrons, swaying between moments of affection and tension.
As the storyline continues to unfold, the pair of Texas natives appear to serve as the catalyst for the couple’s journey. The power of their music then inspires the couple to find a harmonious resolution on the dance floor and the couple embrace in a hug as Lambert and Bridges watch from afar.
With an artful blend of storytelling and creative visuals, the music video captures the essence of the song’s lyrics, evoking a range of emotions while showcasing the transformative power of music.

Genre-Bending Collab
Released via Lambert’s own Vanner Records with distribution by IMPERIAL, the song combines Lambert’s signature country vocals with Bridges’ beloved R&B style, making for a must-hear genre-bending collaboration.
The tune was written by Lambert with Ashley Monroe and Jesse Frasure with Bridges in mind as a collaborator.
“I have been a big fan of Leon for a while because he is very authentic as an artist and I love his music,” Lambert previously explained in a statement. “Since we are both from Texas, we threw in a few Texas references, of course – the Frio River being one. When we finished this song, we sent it to Leon in hopes that he would want to collaborate and we were so glad that he said yes. I have really enjoyed getting to know him and I’m happy to have him as a new friend.”
“I was humbled to have Miranda ask if I’d join her on this beautiful duet she wrote,” added Bridges. “Getting in the studio with her in Nashville to sing this song together was magic. There’s nothing better than two Texans on one mic!”
The tender lyrics play out like a promise to a lover as Lambert and Bridges croon over the possibility of what could be.
“I’d make sure your stars are shining/ Sure as the Frio’s winding/ I’d bottle you up like lightning/ I’d rope the moon for you/ A million times/ That’s what I’d do/ If you were mine,” they sing.
In The Studio
The GRAMMY-winning artists captured their magical time in the studio together in a studio video, which was released alongside the song’s debut.
Lambert said the pair bonded over Tex Mex, BBQ, and tequila while they were recording the song and explained that if Bridges had decided not to record the song, she “wouldn’t have release it.”
“If You Were Mine” follows the release of Lambert’s latest album, Palomino, which dropped in April of 2022 and spawned hits like “Actin’ Up,” “Strange,” and “If I Was A Cowboy.”
Lambert and Bridges joined forces to perform the song during the 50th-anniversary celebration of CMA Fest. Their performance took place during Lambert’s set, which also featured surprise guests Elle King and Avirl Lavigne.

“If You Were Mine,” featuring Leon Bridges, is her first release as a “free agent” following her departure from her longtime label home, Sony Music Nashville. The ACM Triple Crown winner announced she was parting ways with the label in March.
“Since I was 19-years-old, Sony has been my home in Nashville,” she shared on social media at the time. “Over the last 20 years together we have released albums that allowed me to share my story with the world, and we’ve reached heights I’d never even dreamed were possible.”
Lambert went on to share her gratitude for the team at Sony that has helped her continue to pursue her dreams since she first signed at 19 years old.
“I’m so thankful for our time together and everything they made possible for me, yet I wouldn’t be true to myself if I wasn’t constantly looking for the next challenge and a new way to stretch my creativity,” she continued. “With that in mind, I’ve decided to say goodbye to my Sony family. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure holds.”

Las Vegas
Additionally, Miranda Lambert recently wrapped up her latest run of shows in Las Vegas, where she is celebrating nearly two decades as a country music superstar with a career-spanning set list at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood, formerly known as Zappos Theater.
Lambert’s show is a 90-minute celebration of her artistry that features tunes from her entire discography from her debut album, Kerosene, to her current project, Palomino. She will return to Sin City later this year.

The “If I Was A Cowboy” singer’s residency kicked off on September 23, 2022, and is currently set to run through December of this year.
