ScHoolboy Q has had the Hip Hop community’s attention ever since announcing his next project earlier this month, and he’s now released a new song to escalate the excitement.

On Thursday (February 15), the Top Dawg Entertainment MC released the third single from the 17-track Blue Lips due March 1. Filled to the rim with bars, the high-energy “Yeern 101” was released alongside a music video that puts the rapper’s skill on full display.

Made a livin’ off game, you should get it on film/ I ain’t never your kind, late but I’m really on time/ Girl, what you put in your mind, I ain’t diggin’ your sign,” he raps on the first verse of the chorus-less joint.

Whereas the visual package doesn’t have a specific theme, it features a range of striking imagery. Through several abstract frames, the Blank Face hitmaker plays golf, walks the red carpet, speeds in a vintage Volkswagen Beetle with his clique and even transforms into a cartoon briefly. The video ends with someone sweeping up a load of smashed glass on a studio floor as Q rides around on a bicycle.

The Black Hippy rapper recently revealed that his home in Los Angeles has been damaged due to storms and heavy rains that took place at the start of February, while jokingly asking fans to help him with the repairs.

Earlier this week, the 37-year-old took to his Instagram Stories to share clips of all the furniture inside his house covered in plastic sheets. This was most likely in preparation for the interior being repaired after the extreme weather conditions in Southern California prior to the post.

“Bro, y’all better buy every fucking album,” the rapper could be heard saying in the first video as he walked around and gave viewers a look at the inside of his house. “Every fucking vinyl […] Y’all better buy every fucking t-shirt; y’all better buy two albums a piece.

“I don’t even got that living room no more, I don’t even got a kitchen. My gym all fucked up. Bruh, y’all better buy two of each, cuz. Oh my god, water, homie — that storm fucked me up. Storm fucked me up, bro.”

Atop one of the videos, he wrote: “My album a go fund me [laughing emoji] MARCH 1st. BLUELIPS BUY 2 of each.”

As part of the upcoming LP’s rollout, ScHoolboy Q launched a new vlog series last week with an episode titled “wHy not?” In it, he can be seen hanging out with his French bulldog, at a medical office, on the golf course and, of course, in the studio.

The second episode, “I’m so good at tHis,” is out now — watch it here.
