Revolutionary BBQ Brawl and Music Festival Returns this Weekend

WILLIAMSBURG — The Revolutionary BBQ Brawl and Music Festival will be taking place April 25-27 under a big tent at Chickahominy Riverfront Park.

The three-day event promises live music, food, outdoor activities, fitness and more. The event kicks off Friday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. with barbecue, Beer, whiskey and wine and live music by The Cody Christian Band. A $45 ticket includes barbecue tastings, and beer, whiskey & wine tastings.

On Saturday, April 26, Bike, Yoga and Beats starts at 9:30 a.m. and are free and open to the public. Attendees will have a choice between a family bike ride from Chickahominy Riverfront Park to Spoke + Art or a yoga session under the tent by Lia Bollinger from Ironbound Gym. The activities will be followed by live music from Nate Lienard.

Saturday evening, Full Moon Fever, the Ultimate Tom Petty Tribute Band, will be take the stage, with opening act Johnny St. Claire. The concert takes place from 6-9 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to reserve their free ticket online and bring their own lawn chairs.

The final events of the Revolutionary BBQ Brawl will be on Sunday, April 27 at 9:30 a.m. A one-mile fun run and a 5K race will take place on a new race course through the park, along the Chickahominy and on the Virginia Capital Trail. The 5K Race is a Colonial Road Runner Grand Prix event. The one-mile fun run is $25, and the 5K Race/Walk is $35. All proceeds benefit Culturefix. Tickets include: A T-shirt, a BBQ sandwich and side, and one drink ticket. After the race, there will be a live performance by Skinner Box.
