KNOW HERE: Results of Caribbean Music Awards 2023

Caribbean: The results of the Caribbean Music Awards have been announced. The first-ever staging of the award function has taken place on August 31, 2023. The event kick-started at 8: 00 pm last night in New York at the King Theatre.

The awards have been announced in different categories such as Video of the Year (Soca), Music Event of the Year, People’s Choice (Fan’s Favourite), Artiste of the Decade, Performer of the Year (Soca, Dancehall), male and female Artiste of the Year, Kompa Band of the Year, Best New Artiste of the Year (multiple genres), and much more.

The aim of the award show is to celebrate and honour the musical achievements of the artistes of the Caribbean. The artistes who achieved great honours from the year 2021 to 2026 have been awarded. 

The musical night covered around 26 categories.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture of Grenada also extended a greeting to Mr Killa on winning the category of Performer of the Year (Soca) in the inaugural Caribbean Music Awards.

Caribbean Music Awards served as the perfect platform to honour and celebrate the music legends of the region. It has also provided the opportunity to encourage them to do great work further and serve the music industry in the same manner.

It has also contributed to enhancing the region’s music and developing the rich and diverse culture of the Caribbean.
