Rappin’ 4-Tay hasn’t had the most cheerful holiday season this year due to spending a number of days in hospital prior to Christmas.

On Saturday (December 23), the Bay Area native took to Twitter and revealed that he had been admitted to a medical institution for a while, though he didn’t specify the reason behind his poor heath.

“I NEED ALL MY LOYAL ONES TO SEND A PRAYERS,” he wrote. “I BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL FOR DAYS NOW HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS 4-TAY!!! [prayer-hand emoji].”

As of now, it is unclear if the 55-year-old rapper’s condition has improved since his post went out or if he has been discharged.

4-Tay’s tweet serves as a reminder to fans and followers to take care of themselves — Benny The Butcher, with a far more direct and cautionary message, also issued a public warning prior to the festivities leading up to the new year.

Late last week, the Grammy-nominated rapper took to social media and schooled fans on the cost of Christmas, telling them to mind their decision-making.

“It’s Christmas. People willing to do some crazy shit,” he began. “Bitches trying to sell pussy to people who not even trying to buy it. N-ggas trying to rob their homies who was taking care of them all year. I’ma tell you like this: as soon as you sell that first piece of pussy to Mr. Charles, that’s the beginning of the end for you.

“And when you rob your homeboys who been looking out for you all year, where you gonna go when that bitch don’t want you no more? When she kick you back out; when you back down on your dick. Don’t let this one day of the year trick you out your shit, man, y’know what I’m saying?”

He concluded: “It’s Christmas. Kids be the fuck aight, n-gga. You can’t give nothing you ain’t got. The kids be aight, man. Merry Christmas.”
