A New York City doctor has been fired after celebrating the massacre of Israelis by the Islamist terror group Hamas.

Dr Dana Diab, an ER physician at Lenox Hill Hospital and Brookdale University Hospital & Medical Center, shared an Instagram video showing the attack on the Nova music festival near Gaza where at least 260 people were killed on October 7.

Her caption rejoiced in the barbarity, reading: ‘Zionist settlers getting a taste of their own medicine.’

The posts went viral after being shared by StopAntisemitism, a US non-profit organization, which warned: ‘Jewish patients beware.’

Diab’s employer, Northwell Health, today replied to StopAntisemtism on X (formerly Twitter), announcing that she had been dismissed.

‘We’ve been alerted to discriminatory comments that appear to have been posted by a team member regarding the crisis in the Middle East. These views don’t represent Lenox Hill Hospital & Northwell Health & go against our core values. We are investigating & taking immediate action,’ Northwell said.

‘We are deeply sorry for the hurt and offense these comments have caused. These views do not represent Lenox Hill Hospital and Northwell Health and go against our core values. The team member is no longer employed with Northwell.’

Diab’s Instagram account has since been made private but she appears unrepentant, with an ‘I stand with Palestine’ flag appearing as her profile picture.

She insisted to the New York Post that she ‘never called for harm to anyone’ in her post.

‘I never have and never will abdicate my duty and my oath as a physician,’ she added.

Diab’s sickening post is just the latest vile outburst of hatred which has punctuated the public reaction to the unprecedented terror attack on Israel.

Across US cities and university campuses, anti-Semitism has soared and pro-Hamas protesters have taken to the streets.

Harvard University is one of those currently facing a backlash after 31 of its student societies issued a joint statement ‘holding the Israeli regime entirely responsible’ for the conflict.

Subsequent protests have kicked off at the Ivy League school, with Israel supporters being branded ‘Nazis’ after turning out to challenge pro-Palestinian demonstrators.

A group of around 150 brandishing placards and Palestinian flags occupied the steps of Cambridge City Hall.

One was seen stamping on a US flag as he slammed the ‘brutal treatment of Palestinians since 1948’.

Israeli supporters then appeared on the scene, having brought an amplifier along and berated the protesters as ‘terrorists’ and ‘cowards’.

Students at the elite school had their own future thrown into doubt after a host of blue chip CEOs declared them unemployable.

After 31 of the student societies on campus held Israel accountable for ‘all unfolding violence’ hedge fund manager Bill Ackman revealed that his fellow bosses want to know who they are so ‘none of us inadvertently hire any of their members’.

The CEO of Pershing Square Capital Management said he has been approached by ‘a number of CEOs’, adding: ‘One should not be able to hide behind a corporate shield when issuing statements supporting the actions of terrorists, who, we now learn, have beheaded babies, among other inconceivably despicable acts.’

Jonathan Neman, CEO of food chain Sweetgreen, agreed, tweeting he ‘would like to know so I know never to hire these people’.

DoveHill Capital Management CEO Jake Wurzak supported the call, and EasyHealth healthcare services CEO David Duel responded: ‘Same.’

President of Harvard Claudine Gay issued a statement last Tuesday condemning ‘terrorist atrocities committed by Hamas in Israel’ and insisting the 31 student groups ‘don’t speak for the university or its leadership’.

‘Let me also state, on this matter as on others, that while our students have the right to speak for themselves, no student group — not even 30 student groups — speaks for Harvard University or its leadership,’ Gay said.

The president added: ‘We will all be well served in such a difficult moment by rhetoric that aims to illuminate and not inflame.

The organizations signing the letter included Muslim and Palestinian support groups, plus others named for a variety of backgrounds, including the Harvard Jews for Liberation and the African American Resistance Organization.
