Music video brings spotlight on Oman’s tourist attractions

Muscat: He is an upcoming star who has set up a musical studio in the Sultanate of Oman. An Indian expatriate, Cheru Kunnath Paijas, popularly known by his stage name, Faaxy, has been making musical videos to highlight the tourism potential of Oman.

The latest video, “You Are The One” is another encouraging attempt by Faaxy to promote Oman with the musical clip already garnering more than 100,000 views.

Faaxy has taken upon himself to promote his remarkable journey through Oman, his adopted homeland and the latest musical release on Vevo showcases stunning visuals of Oman’s diverse landscapes.

From the breathtaking backdrop of Ad Dimaniyat Islands to the soaring heights of Jebel Shams mountain, the video has made a good impression on his fans and music lovers.

Speaking about the music video, Faaxy recollected the shooting experience at Jebel Shams as “exhilarating”, with his team enduring cold temperatures to capture the video.

Faaxy said: “When we did the shoot at the Ad Dimaniyat Islands, we had to face a lot of challenges. But the team showed determination as carrying the musical instruments to the island was a risky option on the boat.

“Following couple of attempts we managed to get it to the island and our director Monika Sommer was delighted with the end result.” The video and song has earned praise and interest worldwide and is available on Apple Music, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer and Amazon Music. The official page of Faaxy

Born in Kerala, Faaxy’s musical journey began early and he was introduced to hip-hop during high school, where he developed a deep passion for its sound and culture.

In 2013, Faaxy established his music studio in the Sultanate of Oman, a testament to his dedication to music and his love for the country where he was raised.
