Midland Community Theater is bringing in the holiday spirit with ‘The Sound of Music’

MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland Community Theater is getting into the holiday spirit with their last show of the season, and let’s just say, this one will be music to your ears.

MCT is finishing out the year with the hit musical “The Sound of Music”.

Bring the whole family out Friday night and hear the beloved tale of Maria Augusta Trapp who serves as a governess to seven kids of Captain Von Trapp, bringing music and joy.

MCT’s executive director shares how this is the perfect show for families to come together and celebrate the holiday season.

 “The Sound of Music has always been one of my favorites Rodgers & Hammerstein musicals. I love the music,” MCT Executive Director Tim Jebsen said. “We’re so familiar wit the movie version. My family certainly watched it a lot over the holidays and we were thinking about a holiday special that the whole family could come out and see, The Sound of Music was my first choice.”

Opening night is Friday at Davis Theater One.

Curtains go up at 7:30 p.m. and if you’re not able to make it, it’ll run every Friday and Saturday until Dec. 16.
