FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – The Summit City’s largest music event has announced its 2024 lineup.

Leaders with Middle Waves Music Festival and the Embassy Theatre say the fest is set to return to downtown Fort Wayne on Saturday, June 15, at Parkview Field.

On Friday, the two groups announced this year’s headliner: Canadian indie rock band and Grammy-nominated artist Alvvays.

Three regional artists, alternative blues band Houndmouth, indie rock/grunge band Pom Pom Squad, and indie-Americana band Murder by Death, are also set to perform at the festival. Houndmouth and Murder by Death have roots in the Hoosier state–with Houndmouth getting their start in New Albany and Murder by Death starting in Bloomington.

Fort Wayne-grown rock band Overlook will kick off the festival in June.

General Admission tickets for the event start at $40, learn more about ticket options here.

In April last year, Middle Waves leaders announced the Embassy Theatre would be taking over the event. The two groups said to keep the festival alive in The Fort, they decided the best approach would be to have the veteran performance venue handle the programming, planning, and execution of the festival.

Previously, Middle Waves was held at Headwaters Park from 2016 to 2018 before moving to the Foellinger Theatre in 2022. It featured several stages with performers of multiple genres with various activities and art vendors. The 2020 fest, before it was canceled, was planned to take place at the Electric Works campus.
