Miami Music Project, a leading non-profit organization committed to transforming the lives of young students through music education, is set to participate in the eagerly anticipated 2023 Give Miami Day. This remarkable annual event, orchestrated by the Miami Foundation, unites and empowers the Miami community in a collective celebration of giving.

As a key player in South Florida’s arts and education scene, Miami Music Project has been fostering a love for music, building essential life skills, and nurturing the creativity of countless young students. At the heart of the program’s impact are graduates like Christina Chatelier, whose inspiring story mirrors the organisation’s profound influence. Her musical journey began at age six when her mother, undeterred by the considerable distance they had to travel, enrolled her in the program. As a dedicated program student, Christina learned to create beautiful music and dream ambitiously. Miami Music Project nurtured her belief that great things were possible, and her commitment to the program continued through her high school graduation in 2022. She transitioned from a graduate to an alumnus when she was appointed the Site Coordinator of the Miami Music Project’s Little Haiti Chapter in September 2023. Christina is also pursuing a Political Science degree at Nova Southeastern University, further amplifying her efforts to make a positive impact within her community. Her transformation from a student to a leader illustrates Miami Music Project’s transformative power and the boundless possibilities it opens for young individuals.

Miami Music Project’s remarkable 15-year journey in shaping the lives of aspiring musicians and instilling a love for music is a testament to its unwavering commitment to the community. Through its participation in Give Miami Day, it aims to magnify its mission’s reach, creating opportunities for even more aspiring musicians and contributing to the cultural richness of Miami.

Give Miami Day, scheduled for November 16, 2023, offers a unique opportunity for supporters of Miami Music Project to contribute to this extraordinary cause. The organization has set an ambitious fundraising goal of $75,000, with gifts starting at just $25 dollars, and aims to secure support from at least 150 unique donors. All contributions directly fuel the program’s outreach and make a significant impact.

Throughout the day, supporters can visit Miami Music Project’s dedicated Give Miami Day profile (givemiamiday.org/miamimusicproject) to make contributions. Generous matching donations from local partners and contributors promise to multiply the impact. Every donation plays a vital role in helping Miami Music Project extend its reach and empower the next generation of musicians.

“Give Miami Day empowers hundreds of nonprofits across Miami-Dade to unlock the premise and potential of their charitable work,” said Anna Klimala, President of Miami Music Project. “Our gratitude knows no bounds for the incredible support from our community, and we eagerly anticipate creating a lasting impact together. We are particularly excited about a generous anonymous donor who will match dollar for dollar all new and increased gifts to the Miami Music Project, doubling the impact of each contribution.”
