Mary J. Blige has set the record straight about being listed as a performer at what has become one of the most popular annual Hip Hop and R&B gatherings.

On Thursday (January 25), the 53-year-old singer made it clear that she will not be taking the stage at the Lovers & Friends festival in Las Vegas this May. While she was billed alongside titans such as Lil Wayne, Nas, Ludacris, Nelly and Snoop Dogg, Mary has revealed that she was not scheduled to appear at the event, as it conflicts with a project of her own.

“I am beyond humbled by the response from all of you about the announcement of me on Lovers & Friends Festival,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “Unfortunately my inclusion was an error as I will be busy in preparation for my Strength of a Woman Summit just one week later!

“I have the greatest fans in the world and can’t wait to see you in New York in a few short months!”

Ma$e, who was also featured on the festival’s roster reveal earlier this week, let it be known loud and clear that any announcement about him performing in 2024 is not official.

Taking to his social media soon after the lineup started making the rounds online, Murda demanded his name be removed from any flyers that are advertising him as an act because he hasn’t signed off on any such commitments for the new year yet.

“Take my name off any and all flyers for 2024,” he wrote. “Anybody who tries to make any deals without me physically present is not at all any official business of mine.

“LET IT BE CLEAR ‘Nobody’ has the right to talk for me. Nobody? NOBODY!!! Whether you think I know them or I have worked with them in the past or not!”

While he didn’t name names, the PSA came just hours after Lovers & Friends unveiled their plans for the summer.
