What do Nelly and Deana Carter have in common?
Certainly not genre — but the two stars are among four artists tapped to headline Maricopa’s inaugural Wild West Music Fest in October.
St. Louis rapper Nelly and Filmore, a Missouri country singer, will jumpstart the event with performances Friday. Florida rapper Flo Rida will perform Saturday and Deana Carter will round out the festival with a Sunday showing.
The family-friendly festival, hosted by the city of Maricopa and Steven Levine Entertainment, will take place Oct. 13-15 at Copper Sky Park. In addition to music, food trucks and vendors will sell treats and souvenirs for attendees.
Tickets range from $5 to $300 and can be purchased online.
The whole affair celebrates the 20th anniversary of Maricopa’s incorporation as a city.
