Longview church plans free Music on the Square concerts | Local News

Three different ensembles are set to perform when First Presbyterian Church kicks off its annual Music on the Square series in downtown Longview.

A different ensemble will perform each day Dec. 12-14 at 301 N. Center St. The free performances help ring in the holiday season each year and are followed by a free lunch in the church’s Grace Hall.

Ensembles participating in this year’s Music on the Square series are:

Noon Dec. 12, church sanctuary: First Presbyterian Church Carillon Ringers handbells concert under the direction of Janet Read;

Noon Dec. 13, church sanctuary: Longview High School Concert Choir Performance under the direction of Melody McMullen; and

11:30 a.m. Dec. 14, Grace Hall — New Diana High School Jazz Band under the direction of Gary Fort.
