Student is more motivated to complete their work when listening to music.

In today’s world, Airpods are part of the heavy bags students carry with them around the school. These popular earbuds are convenient and easy to hide, perfect for the avid listener in school. While schools have become concerned about Airpod usage, as it raises concerns about kids not focusing or doing their work, the benefits of listening to music in class fairly outweigh the cons. Students should be allowed to listen to music in class because it can help kids be more efficient in completing their work and can aid in motivating students to complete their work.
For many people, listening to music while doing homework and classwork can help increase focus. Listening to music while studying can help students improve their productivity and ultimately aid students in getting better grades. By banning devices like Airpods in school, kids miss out on the opportunity for success. Holding kids back from listening to music in class prevents students from reaching their highest success. Some kids cannot even remotely focus without having their earbuds in, making it necessary for students to be allowed to listen to music in class.
Most high schoolers do not enjoy going to school each morning at 7:30 am. Listening to music can be a relief from the hatred of school. Music can also act as a motivation for students to complete their work. When students listen to music in class, they are more likely to complete their work efficiently. Music boosts dopamine in the brain, which can help when trying to motivate themselves and by allowing students to listen to music while in class, simultaneously encouraging students to complete their assignments. As a result, students will perform better in school.
Many students enjoy having that background noise to support them while they work. When students listen to music while doing their schoolwork, it can motivate them and, as a result, will encourage them to perform better. When AirPods are banned in school, it can hold students back from reaching their highest academic potential. For some, it is hard to focus in class, and AirPods can aid in allowing these students to stay focused. Students should be allowed to listen to music in class because it is a form of motivation, a tool to focus, and ultimately it is a way for students to perform their best inside the classroom while enjoying their time in school.
