Festival goers kicked up the dust in a cow pasture outside White Sulphur Springs over the weekend for the 12th Red Ants Pants Music Festival.

The festival is completely volunteer driven “with the goal of bringing good folks together to celebrate rural Montana.”

Main stage acts included Tanya Tucker, The War and Treaty, Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, The Wood Brother and more.

Educational demonstrations at the festival included trailer backing, animal butchery, hord and wagon driving, crosscut sawing, horseshoeing and more.

Proceeds from the festival help fund the Red Ants Pants Foundation community grants, as well as their timber skills workshops and girls leadership program. The foundation’s mission is to develop and expand leadership roles for women, preserve and support working family farms and ranches, and enrich and promote rural communities.
