Princess Kate seems to have followed in Prince William’s footsteps as she enjoyed a weekend of partying at the Houghton Hall music festival.
Earlier this summer William was photographed dancing the night away at Camden nightclub KOKO with friends including nightlife entreprenuer Guy Pelly, and now his wife has gotten in on the fun.
Kate had been dining with pals the Marquess and Marchioness of Cholmondeley, or David Rocksavage and Rose Hanbury, who own the 1,000-acre Houghton estate in Norfolk.
Last weekend Houghton played host to its famous annual dance music festival, which Kate was reportedly persuaded to join in her first-ever visit to such an event.
A source told the Daily Mail: “After dinner, one of the guests suggested that Catherine go to the festival.

“Catherine was nervous about the idea, but, after much discussion with her protection officers, she went with lots of security. William wasn’t there.”
The festival was first launched in 2017 by DJ Craig Richards, and has been sold as the country’s only 24-hour music festival, with over 12,000 ravers estimated to have attended over the weekend.
It is not thought the Princess has attended a music festival before, but she does like a party, as her and William were often seen dancing away in west London before they married.
The Cholmondeleys, who have been dubbed the “Turnip Toffs”, live close to the Waleses Norfolk residence Anmer Hall, where they often retreat for holidays with their children.
Anmer Hall was gifted to William and Kate by the late Queen Elizabeth after their wedding, and the family often go there for some privacy and downtime in the countryside.
The Prince and Princess have been spotted living life like a normal local family while there, visiting nearby pubs and going to Sainsbury’s in the town of King’s Lynn.
One local told HELLO!: “They’ve been spotted on a yacht just off Holkham Beach, it’s the perfect way for them to be able to enjoy the beach but be away from the crowds.
“Holkham is amazing – it’s the beach from Shakespeare in Love – huge white sand with sand dunes, and although it’s very popular it never feels busy, as it’s so big.
“But even still, it would be hard for the Royal Family to come down and enjoy it during peak summer season.
“Being on a boat gives them privacy and security but they still get to enjoy their local beach.”
