Insane Clown Posse rapper Violent J has recalled the time Benzino threatened to “go to war” with him.

Appearing on Adam22 and Wack 100’s The Adam & Wack Show, Violent J and fellow ICP member Shaggy 2 Dope were reflecting on their eclectic career when the topic eventually turned to Benzino.

“I almost got into it with Benzino,” Violent J revealed. “I dunno what mood I was in but I’m flipping through Instagram and I see Benzino. And I don’t follow him, it just came up and he looked like he’s doing stud poses.”

The face-painted rapper then revealed he commented on a photo of Benzino showing off his muscular physique, writing: “Damn, he’s feeling himself hard. Then I said, ‘He’d probably fuck himself if he could.’

“I did not think he would ever see that. In the morning, he’s like, ‘I’ma fuck you up, we gonna go to war.’ And I was just like, ‘Woah.’”

Violent J later said he was unhappy with Benzino for never featuring the Insane Clown Posse in The Source magazine despite their success in the late ’90s.

“Me and Benzino got on the text and he was like, ‘I’ma go to war, I’ma fuck you up. Who the fuck you fucking with? I respected you until you dissed me for no reason,’” he continued. “So I was like, ‘What the fuck, bro? It was a joke, I don’t know if you roid raging or what but relax, man, it’s a joke.’”

He then revealed they eventually patched things up: “I took an unnecessary shot. I was like, ‘Yo man, I’m sorry. That was my bad, dawg.’ He was real cool about it. He was like, ‘You’re right man, but I respect you now. You muthafuckas are legends and we should’ve paid more attention.’”

Violent J isn’t the only Detroit rapper Benzino has had issues with. His beef with Eminem was recently resurrected after the self-proclaimed Rap God took several shots at him on “Doomsday Pt. 2.”

The former Source publisher fired back with not one but two diss songs of his own, “Vulturius” and “Rap Elvis.”

Benzino recently broke down in tears when discussing their feud during an alcohol-fueled appearance on Drink Champs.

“I don’t have nothing against Eminem. He can rap but I care about us more. I don’t want to talk about it no more. My daughter came to industry figuring, ‘I gotta be cool with Eminem because everybody is against my dad,’” he said while tearing up.

“I don’t hate Eminem. I don’t know him to hate him. I don’t hate white people tired of this shit, man. It’s just too much. I don’t want to be the bad guy. […] Eminem ain’t no bad person. He belongs in Hip Hop. It’s a big racist problem in America right now and Eminem could probably stop half of it.”

Raspberries Albums Ranked Worst to Best

It's a rare thing, but Raspberries just kept getting better. Oh, the charts don't reflect that. Their biggest single, "Go All the Way," was on Raspberries' self-titled debut. Starting Over, their final LP, finished 107 spots further back than 1972's Fresh on the Billboard album chart. But the charts aren't always fair. Raspberries' best single, a 1974 eruption of power pop aptly titled "Overnight Sensation (Hit Record)," somehow finished behind the lesser No. 16 hit "I Wanna Be with You." […]
