The High Desert’s 16th annual Community Christmas Music Festival, featuring performers from various faith communities and high schools, will be held 6 p.m. Dec. 10.
The Hesperia Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at 10862 Maple Ave., Hesperia, is hosting the event, with pre-festival entertainment beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is free.
Performers will include the Vietnamese Voices of Holy Innocents Catholic Church; a combined bell choir representing St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church and the Oak Hills Ward congregation of LDS Hesperia Stake; choirs from Granite Hills and Oak Hills high schools; saxophonist James Stokes and his protégé Dylan Larsen; and vocalists Chantz Ward, Hannah Kim and Shane Churchill, according to a news release. The High-D Boys led by Phil Clevinger are also scheduled to perform.
The music will range from traditional carols to contemporary interpretations.
“We are thrilled to bring together our diverse community for this annual Community Music Festival,” Karie LaFever, communications director for the Hesperia LDS Stake, said in the news release. “It is our hope that through this celebration, we can strengthen the bonds in our community and create lasting connections that extend beyond the holiday season.”
