If all Cleveland guitarist/composer Carl Baldasarre was doing at the Music Box Supper Club was performing his Led Zeppelin Revival show, we probably wouldn’t be writing at the show. But that’s only part of what he’s doing in an evening described as “Beethoven to Zeppelin.”

The show will start with local string quartet Opus 216 playing some of the classical music Baldasarre has written. Then they’ll join Baldasarre and his band to play a set of the original prog-leaning rock & roll he’s written during his lengthy career with bands such as Abraxas and Syzygy, including music from his newly released album Grand Boulevard. Finally, he’ll close the show with his Led Zeppelin revival featuring his own takes on Zeppelin’s hits as well as some of their more obscure material.

Doors open at 6pm if you want to have dinner first. The show will be preceded at 7:30 by a pre-show discussion led by Baldasarre, addressing questions such as “What is originality?” and “What is the secret to Led Zeppelin’s live sound (which everyone misses)?”
