Jazz that Made History

Feb. 12 through 27. Jazz Pensacola and the West Florida Public Libraries are partnering to present a series of free library concerts by Joe Occhipinti and the JazzAbouts to celebrate the rich African American roots of jazz during the month of February. Concerts will take place at noon Feb. 12 at the Bellview Library, 6425 Mobile Highway, on 11 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Molino Branch Library, 6450A U.S. 95A, 1 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Southwest Library, 12248 Gulf Beach Highway, 1 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Tryon Library, 1200 Langley Ave., and noon Feb. 27 at the Pensacola Library, 239 Spring St. There will be a special program for kids at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Pensacola Library.
