FILER, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The 11th annual Gordy’s HWY 30 Music Festival is coming up starting Wednesday at the fairgrounds in Filer.
The music festival has grown each year and this year the event spans four days and will feature 32 bands, including Morgan Wade, Shane Smith and the Saints, Chase Rice, and The Steel Woods just to name a few.
People from all four corners of the United States will be in attendance, as well as many people from Idaho.
Over the four days, there are approximately 40,000 people total at the festival.
“A lot of ‘em travel, so it sells out most of the motels, Air BNB’s, it brings an influx to most of the restaurants, the falls gets a ton of people, they go look at that, they kayak, they do all those things, they go watch the BASE jumping, our local restaurants get busy because they go in the morning, they hang out and they do all those things, so it really brings a lot to the community,” said Gordy Schroeder.
Gordy says the support of the community and the fans has been unbelievable and they are the only reason they can continue providing the music festival year after year.
Food trucks and drinks will also be present at the festival.
“It’s going to be a great time, but I gotta thank this community, everybody, you guys, the fair, everybody behind us that makes this happen, we couldn’t do it if we didn’t have that, but if you notice, we keep adding on and doing things to the stage, so we did some more improvements this year, but what a great deal for our community,” said Schroeder.
Gordy’s HWY 30 Music Fest starts Wednesday and runs until Saturday.
