In a Facebook post, an account handled by the Bishnoi group said it was a message to Salman Khan and challenged Khan to rescue his brother Grewal. “Your reaction on the demise of Sidhu Moose Wala did not escape our notice. You closely associated with Vicky during his time in Middukhera, and subsequently, you even expressed great sorrow for Sidhu. You are now under our radar. Consider this a teaser… Feel free to seek refuge in any country, but bear in mind, death does not require a visa…,” the post read.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi music industry, as fans and peers express concern for Gippy Grewal’s safety. The explicit threats made by Bishnoi have added a layer of intensity to the situation, leaving many to wonder about the underlying tensions and motives behind such an attack.
This would be Bishnoi’s second hit on his rival in Canada in three months. In September, gangster-turned-terrorist Sukhdul Singh alias Sukha Duneke — a close associate of the slain terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar — was bumped off by Bishnoi’s shooters.
Duneke, who was from Punjab’s Moga, was shot at least nine times from point-blank range by his rivals in Winnipeg city. While the Canadian police or media largely remained silent on the murder, Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the killing through a Facebook post made by his syndicate members. Bishnoi has been giving death threats to Salman Khan, claiming that it was his ‘life goal’ as the actor had insulted his community by killing a blackbuck. He had asked the actor to visit their diety’s temple and seek apology for his act.
