Two of the men involved in what was once touted as Australia’s answer to Spotify and Apple Music until the ASX blocked its $1 billion float are once again in hot water with stakeholders – this time involving a music festival in Los Angeles.
Darren Herft, former chairman of streaming start-up Guvera, and former AMMA Private Equity head of capital Andy Nematalla have been organising the EmpowHER festival – a street festival that was supposed to shut down 14 blocks of the iconic Hollywood Boulevard this weekend. The event was sold for its female-only line-up, including Saweetie, Jazmine Sullivan, Normani and Natasha Bedingfield.
