Luna Rose was among the performers at this year’s Inverness Music Festival.
Performers of all ages and at all stages are being urged to enter Inverness Music Festival which prides itself on being fun and friendly.
The annual event on the city’s cultural calendar is a showcase for hundreds of amateur performers with classes in music, speech and dance.
Next year’s event will take place from Friday March 8 to Sunday March 10 and from Friday March 15 to Sunday March 17.
It will be held at Inverness Methodist Church in Huntly Street.
Entries are open until December 23 via Inverness Music Festival. There is also a link on the festival’s Facebook page.
The aim of the festival, which has been welcoming groups and individuals for more than 100 years, is to share a love of music and creative arts and give everyone the opportunity to stand up and try out their performance skills in a supportive environment.
The festival is open to performers of all ages and at all stages.
The classes are run mainly as fun and friendly “competitions” but no one has to compete if they do not wish – people.

There are also non-competitive or sharing classes and events for nervous performers and those who have not played instruments for a long time
Scottish country dance is among the categories at Inverness Music Festival.
The volunteer-run festival endured a couple of challenging years due to the coronavirus pandemic when it was held online and then in a blended online and live format.
This year, it moved to its new venue at Inverness Methodist Church.
Festival chairperson Jason McClurg is thrilled to be returning to the venue in March after a successful 2023 festival.
“Myself and the whole committee are very excited to see what the 2024 Festival brings,” he said.
“No matter your age or stage we welcome all entrants, that’s why our motto is ‘performance for everyone’.”
