A special two day event will commemorate 20 years of Cindystock, the annual outdoor music festival at the Wexford home of founders Cindy and Ted Yates.

At 6:30 p.m. Aug. 18, Cindystock favorite and veteran singer songwriter Dan Navarro will play a set of songs featured on numerous album covers by Woodstock photographer Henry Diltz. Then, Grammy Trustee Awardee and Californian Henry Diltz will host a slide show featuring his many covers and portraits of artists over 55 years, including The Doors, America, Eagles, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Rolling Stones and more. Tickets are $50 and include the concert, slide show, food and soft drinks.

The next day, Aug. 19 at 4 p.m., the Cindystock concert will kick off with Alice Howe & Freebo. Freebo, a rock, blues and folk bass player and singer from Los Angeles, has performed and toured with Bonnie Raitt, Ringo Starr and Neil Young. Singer and guitarist Howe just released “Circumstance” in April.

Navarro will also perform, as will Crystal Bowersox, an artist and songwriter living in Nashville. Bowersox rose to prominence as runner-up and fan favorite on the ninth season of “American Idol.” She has since released four full-length albums, including “HitchHiker” in 2022.

Headlining the show is Pittsburgh legend Johnny Angel with his eight-member group, the Halos.

Saturday tickets are also $50 and include the concert, full buffet dinner, dessert and soft drinks. Guests are asked to bring chairs and/or blankets and adult beverages for each of the rain or shine events.

All proceeds benefit free cancer screening services at UPMC (UPCI Colon Cancer Outreach), AHN and Adagio Health and free support services at Cancer Bridges, Hair Peace Charities and 412Thrive. To date, Cindystock has raised $439,000 for local charities. Tickets are available at cindystock.org.
