Cairo Opera Announces Cairo Arab Music, Singing Competition

The Egyptian Minister of Culture Neivin El-Kelany announced that Cairo Opera House is accepting entries from contestants wishing to participate in the upcoming edition of the Cairo Arab Music and Singing Competition, an event which will take place in Cairo from 21 October to November 1.

According to Khaled Dagher, the new song competition, accompanied by an instrumental performance, accepts contestants from 18 to 45-years-old. The competition will focus on the submission’s lyrics, composition, melody and arrangement.

He noted: “The winners will be granted awards with a total worth of 135,000 Egyptian pounds.”

“Applications can be acquired at the Cairo Opera House grounds in the administrative building and submissions are accepted until 1 October 2023,” Dagher added.
