Since age 13, Brenda Lee’s voice has been synonymous with the holiday season. Now at 78, she’s never been more in the Christmas spirit.

For the song’s 65th anniversary, the Rock & Roll and Country Music Hall of Fame artist released a music video for her 1958 holiday classic “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” which features a few familiar faces — including Santa.

She was also joined by Tanya Tucker and Trisha Yearwood to prep a family Christmas dinner in the warm and festive video.

Donning a fabulous red caftan in front of a wall of matching drapes and a lit-up tree, Lee performed the track. After gathering around the table for dinner, the family then joins her for some titular rockin’ around the Christmas tree.

“For those out there who know me and have supported me and my music through the years, I’m very proud to be putting out the first ever music video for ‘Rockin’. This song has been so special to me — I never thought it would be my signature song, but I love that it is because it brings so much joy,” Lee said in a statement.

“I remember the day I recorded this wonderful Johnny Marks song, and here we are 65 years later and I’m only here because of you. I won’t ever meet all of you, but I know you are there and have been since I was a little girl — so thank you and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas!” she added.

Lee re-released the song as part of her new EP A Rockin’ Christmas with Brenda Lee, which also features “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town,” “Jingle Bell Rock” and “A Marshmallow World,” reimagined by Austrian music producer Filous.

A Rockin’ Christmas with Brenda Lee is now available for streaming.
