Speaking about the track, he says, “I wrote Pink Lemonade a few years ago about a really special feeling and I knew from the start that it was the first song I wanted to share.

“When it came to recording it was hard to strike the right balance between all the different influences and to find the right arrangement for it, but it all came together nicely when I worked with Dan D’lion.

“We worked really well together, even though the song had been in the works and developing for a long time, we got it done within a couple days in the studio.

“Musically there were obviously certain vibes I wanted but that feeling of wanting someone everyday doesn’t come around too often, so it was important to get it right to do it all justice.”

Tell us three things about yourself . . .

I have a scrub daddy AND a scrub mummy (me neither – Ed), I have a dog called Frank and sometimes I make music.

How would you describe your music?

This is grunge soul, babez. It’s a blend of all the stuff I grew up listening to and all the stuff I’ve grown to love now.

Who are your musical inspirations?

When I first discovered D’Angelo that had the most profound impact on the way I thought about music, he completely changed the game for me. Before then, my main inspirations had probably been Jeff Buckley and Alex Turner.

What was the first gig you ever went to?

It was Mark Knopfler . . . I hated it.

What was the first record you ever bought?

The first CD I had was Bob Marley but I’m sure my mum paid for it so I think Voodoo could be the first record I ever actually bought for myself – on vinyl innalll!

What’s your favourite song right now?

I’m torn between Inferno by JMSN and Señorita by Justin Timberlake. I’ve been listening to JMSN’s Velvet album religiously recently and “Inferno” is one of my favourites off the record but also I reckon I listen to Señorita at least once a day.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Basically, anything Hozier wrote is my favourite lyric, his lyrics are always crazy!

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I Get Along Without You Very Well by Chet Baker.

Where can people find your music/more information?

You can keep up with everything I’m doing on my socials! Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok.
