Springtide Music Festival has unveiled the first wave of performers set to take the stage at one of Ontario’s leading spring events, fronted by an all female lineup of headliners, June 6 to 8 in downtown Uxbridge.

Headlining the event are 2024 JUNO nominee Begonia, JUNO Award winners Monowhales and Good Lovelies. Performers include Adrian Sutherland, Aphrose, Band of Weeds, Barn Cat, Ben Kunder, Dawna Marie and The Slim Pickins, Else Langhans, Gravely, Hollowsage & The Three Mile Islanders, Jitensha, Joshua, Land Heart Song, Luke Wallace, Melissa Payne, Mimi O’Bonsawin, Minuscule, Noise Hotel, RedFox, Sarah Beatty, and Tennyson King, with many more artists yet to be announced.

Returning for its fifth summer, the three-day, multi-genre festival will take place across multiple venues and includes both ticketed and free programming, along with youth friendly events, according to a festival news release.

Festival-goers will have an opportunity to experience live music from a diverse group of Canadian musicians across 12 stages located in restaurants, bars, shops and a brewery beer garden.

“Springtide Music Festival is loved for its collaborative efforts between local artists, independent business owners, and volunteers with a strong sense of hometown pride for the town of Uxbridge”, says festival executive director Tania Joy.

“The festival revels in pairing new discoveries, and established acts, with up-and-coming artists, and under the banner of a multi-genre festival, there’s room to bring a little something for everyone. It’s such a feel-good event for the town, and it’s so rewarding to watch it come alive each Spring.”

Springtide Music Festival has partnered with Music Declares Emergency, a music industry developed climate initiative aimed at reducing the carbon footprint of live music events, with a number of sustainability and reduction opportunities for attendees throughout the weekend.

Festival organizers are encouraging attendees to utilize their daily, free crosstown trolley with multiple scheduled stops across Uxbridge, and shuttle service from nearby GO Transit stations, including Port Perry, Brooklin, Whitby, Pickering, and Stouffiville.

Hotel partners Great Blue Heron Hotel and Casino, Pickering Casino & Resort and The Days Inn in Stouffville will also offer free shuttle service to and from the downtown area.

The festival invites attendees to bring along a shirt for on demand screen printing, and will host family friendly sustainability programming throughout the weekend.

Weekend and day passes are available now with free admission for children under 12 accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Passes are available for purchase here.

Launched in 2018, Springtide Music Festival is an incorporated non-profit organization in the Township of Uxbridge, led by a team of local musicians and business leaders. Springtide is a 98 per cent volunteer-run team that presents an annual festival to celebrate community and music by showcasing over 70 musical acts on specialty stages within local shops, restaurants, a brewery beer garden, and the historic Uxbridge Music Hall in the downtown core.

In 2023 Springtide partnered with Music Declares Emergency to bring the climate conversation to festival audiences by sharing knowledge on the intersection of live music and climate action thorough initiatives that consider alternate travel to and from the festival to reduce emissions.
