20203 Music Festival benefits SJI school music programs

Lakedale is proud to announce the 2023 Music Festival Aug. 25 -26. As ever, this festival benefits the San Juan Island music programs.

Friday, Aug. 25 the event kicks off with a jam session on the deck from 7-9 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 26, Peter Strasser will start things off from noon-1:10 p.m. on the main stage. Chico plays from 1:30-2:40 p.m., Skylark takes the stage from 3-4:10 p.m. followed by Whistle Lake Quartet from 6-7:1- p.m. Brian Nova and the Friday Harbor High School Jazz Band will close out the evening from 7:30-9 p.m.

Festival organizers gives many thanks to Terry’s Kids and the San Fransisco Study Center. Terry’s Kids is a nonprofit that aims to provide Title One and Two schools with art and music instruction.

“In addition to providing our weekly classes, we also provide instruments and individual music lessons to financially disadvantaged kids all over the U.S. and abroad,” founder Terry Miller said.
